7 Morning Habits That Don’t Let Us Lose Weight

The morning sets the mood for the rest of the day, including the diet schedule. Our morning rituals determine whether we are going to eat a large or small lunch, whether the body will use all the calories or store them “just in case.”

7. We Refuse To Eat A Big Breakfast

The time when we eat is much more important than what we eat. A diet with a big breakfast and a light dinner are much more effective when it comes to maintaining weight, compared to a diet based on frequent light snacks.

And this is because the speed of metabolism is different at different times of the day. The main conclusion that scientists have reached is that you should never refuse to eat a high-calorie breakfast. Your lunch should be medium-sized and your dinner light. We should avoid making these mistakes during our breakfast.

6. We Don’t Walk In The Sunshine

Sunlight literally burns fat. At least white adipose tissue. This finding partially explains why people gain weight during winter when there is a lack of sunlight. Remember that spending a lot of time in the sun is not a good idea and always use sunscreen. Taking a walk early morning can not only help you lose weight but also improve your immunity.

5. We Forget About Drinking A Glass Of Water After Waking Up

According to scientists, the body of an adult person is made up of 55% to 60% water. Therefore, drinking a glass of water after waking up is a good idea. Water speeds up metabolism, which reduces the risk of gaining weight.

It also helps the body get rid of toxins. Productivity author Chris Bailey shared that, as an experiment, he started his morning with a glass of water and was able to reduce his body fat from 17% to 10%.

Remember, you should aim for 35-40 ml per kg of body weight and add 500-1000 ml per hour of exercise.

4. We Do Not Exercise

Except for the obvious advantages of burning calories and speeding up your metabolism, morning exercise can help you control your appetite! During an experiment, researchers led by Dr. Emma Stevenson and Ph.D. student Javier Gonzalez discovered that people who are used to exercising before breakfast eat less food during the day.

The explanation probably in the “waking up” effect of exercises. By eating, people who do not exercise in the morning try to relieve the stress of waking up.

In addition, they discovered that exercising with hunger is 20% more efficient in terms of weight loss than exercising during the day.

3. We Save The Delicious Dishes For Lunch Or Dinner

If you can’t resist eating sweet or baked foods, do it in the first part of the day. This is another conclusion reached by researchers from the University of Tel Aviv. A muffin that you eat in the morning will add fewer inches to your waist than the same muffin you eat at night.

2. We Read The News In The Morning

The fear and irritation caused by the displacement of morning news can really have a negative impact on your health. This is especially true if you suffer from a chronic lack of sleep. This is because long-term stress causes stem cells to become fat cells. Stress causes the body to produce hormones that help it adapt to a new environment.

If the stress is short term, no new fat cells will form. If the stress is long term, the “calorie saving” mechanism begins. And even if we start eating less, we can’t lose weight until the stressful situation ends.

1. We Underestimate The Help Of Our Pets

A dog can become a good companion during a race and a cat can make stretching or yoga much more relaxing and enjoyable. The results of a study showed that it is easier for pet owners to control their weight.

In addition, communicating and caring for a pet can generate positive emotions that reduce the level of stress that would probably try to calm a muffin or some chocolate chip cookies.
